Our Fees
Asset Management Services
Pinestar Capital Advisors offers asset management services for an annual percentage fee on assets under management. Fees for asset management services are payable quarterly in arrears (at the end of the billing period) and are calculated based on the market value of the client’s assets under management as of the last business day of each calendar quarter.
The annual percentage fee depends on the amount of the client’s assets under management. The standard fee schedule below shows the percentage fee applicable to each portion or tier of the client’s assets under management. The cumulative fee is a blended rate based on the applicable percentages applied to the value of the client’s assets in each tier.
Actual fees charged to investment advisory clients may vary from client to client depending upon a number of factors including the amount of assets under management, the scope of services provided, the complexity of the client’s financial situation and investment strategies, the nature of the relationship between the client and advisor, and the type of assets being managed. Our fees are subject to negotiation in certain circumstances. All fees are specified and agreed upon in the client advisory agreement.
Standard Asset Management Fees
*Asset management fees are charged in arrears at the end of each calendar quarter at a rate equal to 1/4th of the annual percentage fee. The calculation will be based on the fair market value of the assets under management as of the last business day of the calendar quarter. Fees are prorated (based on the number of days service is provided) for asset management services rendered during a partial calendar quarter.
Investment Consulting Services
Pinestar charges an hourly fee for Investment Consulting Services. Before commencing an investment consulting engagement, whether on a ‘one-time’ or ‘as-needed’ basis, we will work with you to help ascertain the nature and scope of the advisory services you require and provide an estimate of the number of hours involved. Our hourly fee is currently $225 per hour.
Financial Planning Services
We offer limited financial planning services - i.e., modular financial plans - to existing or prospective clients on either an hourly or fixed-fee basis, depending on the specifics of the financial planning activities required. Our current hourly fee is $225 per hour. Fixed-fee modular financial plans, which are only available for certain financial planning topics, are typically priced between $600 and $1,200. Please note, Pinestar Capital Advisors does not offer comprehensive, “full service” financial planning services as typically provided by a CFP®, CPA or similar professional.
Our financial plans are specialized in subjects pertaining to investing and investments — strategy, theory, tactical considerations, execution, capital markets research, etc.
